HANDmade at Petrus
The concept of “handmade” is very important to us. From garden work to kitchen ingredients, from craftsmanship to furniture and design objects, and from everyday tasks to meticulous details. Many skilled hands work tirelessly each day to surprise you time and again.
Handmade
What’s more, for us, the term “handmade” extends to the careful selection of raw materials and ingredients. Many of our interior design details are born from our own creativity or crafted to our specifications: the turned wood bread baskets from St. Georgen, the stone pine pillows, hay beds and linen cushions from Sägemüllerhof in Gais and the fragrances in our sauna from Bergila and Dr. Joseph. Our loden fabrics are sourced from Moessmer in Bruneck.
Our passion for pottery
Moreover, our passion for pottery is evident as we personally craft the dishes you dine on – from breakfast bowls to butter dishes, and from aperitif plates to dessert bowls. Imperfect, perhaps, but each piece is one-of-a-kind, handmade with love and care.
Flowers and herbs from our Garden
Our floral arrangements and herbal ingredients for the herbal stamp massage are freshly picked at local gardens like Gerti’s at Lechnerhof, and the pansies, wooden candles and small wooden boards, not to mention the extra-large table in our garden, all come from Hans’s garden. We also handmake the body scrub and arnica cream.
From every corner of our house, a piece of South Tyrolean craftsmanship peeks out. From the Loden we've chosen for our couches and armchairs to the farm eggs and other dairy products from Pustertal farms.
