German Design Awards winner 2025

Our Petrus.Restaurant is Winner of the German Design Award 2025. We are especially thrilled about this award because it confirms that we have created a place where nature, enjoyment, and design come together in a unique way.

The Petrus.Restaurant is "designed by Petrus," as the ideas were born from the close collaboration of Brigitte and Christina with our carpenter and local partners. We have brought nature and the garden into our restaurant. Above the large table, which forms the center of the restaurant, hang dried flowers and herbs, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. In the shelves, we proudly display our homemade pickled vegetables, which come directly from our Lechnerhof vegetable farm – a feast for the eyes and the palate. Bright colors, many cushions, and a lot of attention to detail make our restaurant a place where you can simply feel at home.

The jury of the German Design Award was enthusiastic: "The pop-up restaurant at Hotel Petrus creates a captivating link between cuisine and nature by focusing on seasonal, home-grown ingredients. The interior architecture, inspired by a garden, offers a unique spatial experience through creative design elements such as dried flowers and illuminated shelves. »Vegi.Table im Hotel Petrus« impresses with its successful integration of aesthetics and functionality."
