Who dares, wins!
2 generations pulling together!I still remember well how I was standing with the architect in the middle of the meadow at the foot of the Kronplatz, right there where the hotel was to be built. "I've got a great idea Hans" he said. "We'll shape the hotel just like the mountain so it harmonises with the energy. And we'll have the hotel facing south so your guests can enjoy all-day sunshine!"
At that time our daughters had not yet been born. Today, three decades and many refurbishments later, we are a superior-rated 4-star hotel. Our cuisine has been recognised by Gault & Millau with 2 toques. Our new rooms and suites are modern, feel-good oases complete with exclusive extras. And we're also happy to welcome our many regulars, some of whom have been loyal to us for decades.
My three daughters, Brigitte, Christina and Daniela have since joined the business and, together with myself and my wife Gerti, we run the Petrus. I am very proud of all of them and it makes me very happy to see how things have developed.
One family, one teamAs a family and as hoteliers, we are a team. We respect each other, we listen to each other and make decisions together. Our common goal is that our guests will have an amazing holiday experience with us here. That's where we pull together - together with our staff, most of whom have been working with us for many years.
With passion & joyWe have divided the roles that each family member has in such a way that everyone is pursuing their biggest passion. That way everyone enjoys what they are doing. And yes, even the guests can feel whether we are doing something out of passion or love or not. All three daughters have a special love of nature itself and truly appreciate the fact that we have a piece of paradise literally on the doorstep.
Brigitte, Christina and Daniela have successfully completed various courses in the hotel and catering industry and together with this they also bring in a breath of fresh air and some great ideas.
My father's legacyI'm sure that from time to time my father is looking down on us and is happy to see how well everything has developed. At that time, it was a major achievement to build such a hotel. My eight sisters and I all believed in the hotel and even supported the project financially. Our father, at that time the vestryman of Bruneck, was an active man in the community and a man with a vision. Very early on he was able to see the importance of tourism for the Reischach / Bruneck region and also encouraged the construction of the cable car.
The key to heavenMy father, Peter Aichner, died just 3 months after the opening of the hotel. In tribute to him and out of respect for the patron saint Peter, who the village church is dedicated to, we decided to name our hotel "Hotel Petrus".
The patron saint Peter holds the keys to heaven - and this key has become a symbol for the Hotel Petrus.
We look forward to opening our doors and our hearts to you!
